Licences and memberships that show whether they are still current

A certificate that was valid last year may not be valid today. Give every licence and membership a live record, so anyone checking sees its current status.

The problem

Lapsed licences still look valid

A printed licence looks the same after it expires or is withdrawn. Clients and employers have no way to know it is no longer current.

Renewals depend on people remembering

Members forget renewal dates, and chasing them by email takes staff time every month.

Revocations do not reach the people who need them

When a membership is withdrawn, the certificate already shared with clients keeps circulating.

How it works

  1. Design the licence or membership certificate with the member's name, number and a "valid until" date.

  2. Issue a batch for new members or renewals from a spreadsheet, or one at a time.

  3. Members receive the certificate by email and get reminders 30 and 7 days before it expires, sent in your name.

  4. Clients and employers scan the QR code and see whether it is valid, expired or revoked, with the date.

Status, not just a document

Every certificate has a live record behind its QR code. It shows “Valid”, “Expired on (date)” or “Revoked on (date) by issuer” — status is always shown with a word and an icon, not colour alone — so the person checking does not need to know your rules to read it.

Renewal reminders in your name

When a certificate has a “valid until” date, the holder gets reminder emails 30 and 7 days before it expires. They come from your organisation’s name, so members see them as your reminder, not ours.

A record of every change

Staff log in with their own roles, and every issue, edit and revocation is recorded in the activity log. If a decision is ever questioned, you can see who made it and when. See features for the full list.

Questions

The verify page shows "Expired on (date)" and says the certificate is genuine but no longer current.
